After releasing the final beta version of the Android 16 beta program in April, Google is now finally ready to release the Android 16 stable version.
The Android Developers account on the X platform has confirmed that the Android 16 final release will be dropping tomorrow.

As usual, the compatible Pixel phones will be receiving the update first. Do note that Pixel devices that are on the Android 15 stable version or Android 16 beta channel will be receiving this latest update.
The detailed information on what this latest upgrade includes will only be known after its official release. But as per reports, Android 16 could arrive with live updates, health records, better app adaptability, enhanced security, Privacy sandbox on Android, Gemini extensions, camera updates, media updates, advanced protection mode, hiding sensitive notifications from the lock screen, anti-scammer safeguards, Vulkan, iOS-like app settings, outline text for maximum text contrast, ambient volume controls for Bluetooth LE Audio hearing aids, cloud compilation for app installs and more.
In related news, Apple has recently officially unveiled its renamed software- iOS 26 and we already shared with you the list of compatible Apple devices. Now just after Apple’s iOS 26 reveal, Google is also ready to introduce its major software upgrade- Android 16.
