Brave browser now blocks Twitch ads by default on all platforms

Twitch- the streaming service has been sometimes frustrating for users due to the ads that show up in between the streams. Twitch ads can be long up to 5 minutes while Twitch frequently changes its ad system to break blockers. Also, ads come from the same video stream as the content, making them hard to filter out which is why many Twitch ads slip through from traditional ad blockers.

Brave has now officially revealed that its browser blocks ads by default on all platforms.

Now no extra setup is needed and users can just watch Twitch on Brave to skip the ad interruptions. In the comment section, the company mentioned that earlier there were optional filters that tackled Twitch ads but they have just rolled them into the default protections so everyone can enjoy them.

It is revealed that this ad blocking will be available as an automatic update. The Brave Twitch Adblock Rules will be enabled under Settings> Shields> Content Filtering by default so that users won’t have to see the Twitch ads while using the Brave browser.

Many users in the comment section have expressed their excitement about this new announcement. Previously, Brave also blocked YouTube ads so that users could enjoy an ad-free experience without paying for the subscription.
