Oppo A5 5G with 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD display, Dimensity 6300 SoC, and IP65 rating launched in India
Oppo recently launched the Oppo A5 5G in the global market, and it was also rumoured to arrive in the Indian market. Well, it has now been launched in India today and is currently listed on the Oppo India website as well as the Croma e-commerce platform.

Oppo A5 5G (CPH2751) features a 6.67-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1604 x 720 pixels, delivering smooth visuals even in bright lighting conditions. The display is enhanced with Ultra Volume Mode, which boosts audio output up to 300 percent, making it suitable for loud environments.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core chipset built on a 6nm process, the device delivers a balance of performance and power efficiency. It runs on Android 15 with ColorOS 15 on top, offering a clean and modern interface. The phone includes 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with support for memory expansion via a hybrid SIM card slot. RAM expansion support also allows for improved multitasking.

Design-wise, the OPPO A5 5G stands out with its damage-proof 360-degree Armour Body, IP65-rated water and dust resistance, and a build that uses ABS plastic for impact durability. It is tested to offer up to 160 percent better impact resistance, certified to military-grade standards. It measures 7.60 x 0.79 x 16.57 cm and weighs 194 grams. The phone is available in Aurora Green and Mist White, with the green variant featuring a prismatic, frosted finish and the white variant offering a translucent cloud-inspired design.
Camera capabilities include a dual rear setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, along with an 8MP front camera. It supports features like Portrait Mode, Dual-View Video, and various AI enhancements. These include AI Eraser 2.0 to remove unwanted objects from photos, AI Clarity Enhancer for restoring details in blurry images, and AI Smart Image Matting 2.0 for cutting out and editing elements from photos seamlessly.
The device is powered by a 6000mAh non-removable Li-Ion Polymer battery, supported by 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging via a USB Type-C port. OPPO claims the battery is engineered to maintain 80 percent of its capacity even after five years of use. The phone can reach 30 percent charge in 21 minutes and 50 percent in approximately 37 minutes.
Connectivity options include 5G, LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C. It supports dual SIM with dual standby mode, where one SIM slot is hybrid. Additional software includes essential Google apps, and the phone supports Outdoor Mode and Glove Touch for improved usability in bright conditions or while wearing gloves.

The OPPO A5 5G is now officially available in two memory configurations, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, priced at ₹15,499, and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, priced at ₹16,999.
